“Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: “Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.” (CCC.1213) In our Parish, Infant Baptism is celebrated three times in a year. However, a separate arrangement can be made for a family when there is need. At least one parent must be a registered member of our Parish for at least three months. Parents and Godparents usually attend a one-hour Baptism preparation class prior to the scheduled Baptism. Times for Baptism preparation are normally publicized in our Parish Bulletin.
We have a CCE program for those children between the ages of three and six.
We have an RCIA program for the adults that want Baptism or adults that seek reception into full communion with the Catholic Church.
Godparents and Sponsors must be a) Catholics and b) in good standing with the Church.
Please, for more information about Baptism preparation, call the Parish Office.
